All students will register using the ITP registration system by entering their course preferences in the system PRIOR TO THEIR MEETING WITH THEIR ADVISER. (DO IT ASAP!) You may change your preferences as many times as you choose, but you must finalize your preferences by Thursday, April 14 at 5:00 p.m.
ITP Registration System
For stage one of the Fall 2016 registration process, you will need to go to your ITP Registration page:
Log as normal, using your NetID and your password.
Please read and follow the instructions to enter your Spring 2016 course preferences.
You have until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 to enter your course selections. Unlike with ALBERT, the date and time that you submit your choices will have no bearing on your final schedule, provided you enter your selections by the deadline. You can even go back into the system and change your selections as many times as you want as long as you finalize your choices by April 14 at 5:00 p.m.
At 5:00 p.m. on April 14, the program will automatically create a course schedule for every person who entered their course selections on the site by examining how each registrant prioritized his/her choices and determining their enrollment in a given course by priority when possible, and randomly when necessary.
For Big Screens, please visit Big Screens Lottery Fall 2016.
NOTE: This process will only enroll students in the courses, you will have to add yourself to the waitlist to be waitlisted for the closed courses. All waitlists are set up as "auto-enroll" on Albert, it is your responsibility to monitor your own registration schedule since the system will only enroll you within your credit limit. For more information on add/drop/waitlist/swap functions, please visit Albert Registration Guide.
Under no circumstances can students sit in on classes without being either enrolled in the course or among the five people waitlisted for the course. Once the third week of the semester begins, no student may continue to attend a course unless s/he is enrolled in the course.
The second stage of the process, the ALBERT PHASE, will commence on Thursday, April 28 at 11:00 A.M., when all students who have been advised will be activated to use ALBERT to add/drop/waitlist/swap for courses and make whatever other changes they may desire to make at that time. Note that the waiting lists will be active for 2, 3 and 4 units ITP courses in ALBERT. Students can add themselves to the waiting list if it's not full (waitlist will close at 5) for that course in ALBERT beginning at 11:00 a.m. on April 28.
Remember that you will already be registered for whatever courses the program assigned to you based on your preferences and your luck. You need to log onto ALBERT on Thursday April 28 only if you want to add yourself for one or more courses that you did not initially consider, or if you need to make other changes to your registration.
Registration Date for Incoming Students:
Beginning on Thursday, September 1 at 11:30 a.m. students can register on ALBERT (access through NYU Home). You will need to log-in using your NYU netID and password.
While you will not be able to register until 11:30 a.m. on September 1, you should access the system sometime prior to the start of registration to familiarize yourself with the interface, and take the time to update your personal information in ALBERT.
